Description

A trench between SY 6547 9366 and SY 6545 9360 from the village street to the stream revealed several archaeological features. These included a ditch 1m wide filled with dark silty soil, and two possible wall foundations a little to the south of the ditch. Further to the south close to the stream was an area of small chalk rubble which lay over large flints. This layer contained a great deal of medieval pottery.
