Description
NRHE: No description.
A barrow on 'The Down' was opened by Charles Warne. The barrow was 36 feet in diameter and six feet high. Warne found a central grave containing a cremation with a perforated greenstone axehead. Fragments of an urn were scattered throughout the mound (Wessex interment no.23; CTD MOPR no. 46). Unlocated but possibly Sheep Down.
