Description

The excavation by machine and recording of trenches amounting to approximately 2% of the site. Hillwash deposits, numerous subsoil features of periglacial origin, and two features of archaeological origin were recorded. These were a possible quarry with a small quantity of worked flint in its filling and a ditch containing a small quantity of Bronze Age pottery and flint flakes. The ditch was interpreted as possibly being part of a prehistoric field system.
