Description

In October 1995 a trench for a new sewer was cut in the road just west of the lifeboat house at the Cobb, Lyme Regis. It revealed the remains of a substantial wall constructed of large mortared lias blocks. This appears to be a pre-mid-eighteenth century wall. It was recorded by John Fowles.
