Description

Lilian Ladle conducted a watching brief during groundworks for an extension to 6 Ropers Lane, Wareham on June 6th 1993. Trenches were excavated prior to an extension to the house being built. Approximately 1.8m of topsoil had been removed and foundation trenches dug by hand by the householder before the site was visited by Lilian Ladle. No features were observed, but several fragments of Romano-British and 11-12th century pottery were collected.
