Description

The archaeological evaluation of the Merley Youth Club site followed a desk-top study of historical sources and a geophysical survey. Four evaluation trenches were excavated by machine, comprising a 2% sample of the area. The evaluation trenches produced no evidence for archaeological features or finds, but were able to identify the presence of land drains and other possible surface drainage features to the east.
