Description

This evaluation was commissioned by Drinkwater Sabey Ltd in advance of proposed mineral extraction. 14 trial trenches were opened by machine, representing 2 percent of development area. A small number of subsoil features were recorded and interpreted as agricultural in origin and of no great antiquity. A single piece of burnt flint was recovered. The potential for preserved archaeological activity was deemed to be low.
