Description

Watching briefs, evaluations and building recording carried out during building works at Portland Castle. Excavations revealed Limekilns, 449 prehistoric chert and flint objects, a large number of which were residual finds retrieved from post-medieval contexts. Many flint objects retrieved from prehistoric layers however date to the middle Bronze Age or later.
