Description

In 1953 Mr E R Shelton dug a test pit down to the gravel in the garden of 15 Church Street. Many medieval finds dated to the 12th to 15th centuries were recovered, some pottery pieces may date to the 11th century. A level-by-level list of finds was deposited by Mr Shelton in the library at the Dorset County Museum.
