Description

The area of excavation was about 20m west of the 1634 waterfront, but on the line of the 1751 waterfront. The excavation by Poole Museum took place in April and May 1975. It comprised two areas of excavation and a number of testpits. The fieldwork revealed a stone revetment, thought to be the 18th century waterfront, and a number of 19th and 20th century features.
