Description

One of SMR numbers 0022-0030. Directed by Cree and Cunnington. Excavated in the 1800s, no specific dates given on the NMR record. The Dorset Natural History and Antiquarian Field Club visited Came and Owermoigne on 22 June 1908, where they were welcomed to Owermoigne Court by the owner Mr G Cecil Cree. In his welcoming address Mr Cree referred to a barrow on the downs at Owermoigne being opened by Edward Cunnington and Mr Gee's father. <1>
