Description

Fragment of a Late Bronze Age cinerary urn and burnt bones from a barrow at Warmwell Pit presented to the Dorset County Museum - acc No 1936.89.1 - by Major Foster of Warmwell. Likely to be one of three barrows destroyed by gravel digging in 1935-6. Recorded by the NHRH as an excavation by Major Foster, but this is not clear from available evidence.
