Description

Small-scale excavation at the point where the dyke forms part of an enclosure showed the bank to be 12 feet wide and 1 foot high, and the ditch 9 feet wide, 2 feet across the bottom, and 3 feet deep. A few pieces of coarse, undecorated pottery were found in the filling of the ditch, suggesting a late Bronze Age date.
