Listed Building record MDO10371 - Little Puddle Farmhouse, Piddlehinton

A 17th Century house, with rendered whitewashed rubble walls and a thatched roof, gabled to the right and hipped to the left. The house is one and a half storeys with an 8 window range.

Little Puddle Farmhouse, a late 17th century single-storeyed building with attics, has walls of rendered rubble and thatched roofs. It comprises a long range, facing south-east with a projecting gabled porch at the centre of the range. A granary on staddle stones to the south has rendered walls and tile roof, and a barn with brick walls and iron roof is probably 18th century. <2-3>

‘(5) LITTLE PUDDLE FARM (71669653), house, 700 yds. S. of (1), is single-storied with dormer-windowed attics and has walls of rendered rubble, and thatched roofs. It is of the late 17th century and comprises a long range, facing S.E., with a projecting gabled porch at the centre of the range. Several casement windows have moulded wood mullions. Inside, there are some plank-and-muntin partitions. A Granary on staddle stones to the S. has rendered walls and a tiled roof; a Barn with brick walls and an iron roof is probably of 18th-century origin.’
