Monument record MDO1066 - Ditch, part of Roman town defences, South Street, Dorchester

Summary
Construction of a new surface water conduit along Salisbury Walk, South Walk and Bowling Alley Walk in 1911-12 was observed by J E Acland. He recorded part of a ditch between South Street and Trinity Street; this was thought to be 17th century civil war in date, and not part of the Roman town defences.
