Summary

An attached cottage thought to have been built in the early part of the eighteenth century. The building has walls of coursed, squared rubble and a thatched roof with stone gable copings and other detail. Surviving features of the interior are reported to include chamfered ceiling beams.

‘The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are covered with thatch or modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (10) Cottage, 70 yards E. of (8), was built probably early in the 18th century. The doorway has a panelled head.’
