Full Description
No. 97 East Street is a two-storeyed red brick house with a through passage to the west. It is one of a piecemeal terrace of early to mid 19th century houses (Nos. 83-113 East Street), which forms a good example of an ad hoc group of working class and artisan housing developed on a series of existing plots. The piecemeal character of this development reflects the ad-hoc organisation of Bridport's industry. (1)
