No. 13 Rax Lane, is one of the best-preserved three-storeyed workshop buildings in Bridport. The early- to mid-19th century stone building includes both domestic and industrial features, with a central door and a cart entrance with loading doors and winch hoist above to the east. The scale of the premises suggests that it was built for merchants or masters of modest means.

No. 13 Rax Lane, is one of the best-preserved three-storeyed workshop buildings in Bridport. The building is of coursed and dressed stone with a corrugated iron roof. It probably dates to the early- to mid-19th century. The three-bay façade includes both domestic and industrial features. The entrance is in the central bay, with windows above.. The eastern bay is wider and originally had a carriage entrance on the ground floor with loading doors on the two floors above (all altered to form window openings). A winch hoist survives in the eaves above the loading doors. The windows are flat-headed with stone voussoirs, and there is a small pointed window on the 3rd storey in the west gable The scale of the premises suggests that it was built for merchants or masters of modest means.
