Full Description
An early or mid 18th century three-storey townhouse with central entrance. It has a five-bay stucco-ed façade with moulded cornice and five ranges of sash windows with bull-nosed sills, glazing bars and keystones. The façade is slightly asymmetrical suggesting that it may be a remodelling of an earlier house. The rear of the house is mainly coursed stone rubble with pigeon holes. This townhouse does not appear to have been used directly for industrial purposes and was probably the home of a well-to-do merchant or master. (1)
