Full Description
A number of field boundaries and lynchets are visible as earthworks on Tenant's Hill. Some are of prehistoric date and are associated with enclosure described in MDO1263, and others are of later medieval or even post medieval origin. A series of probable medieval strip lynchets with associated cultivation ridges are visible on the north-west facing slopes at SY5790588346. They were digitally plotted from aerial photographs during theSouth Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. <1>
