<1> Royal Commission on Historical Monuments England, 1952, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume I (West), 93 (Monograph). SDO97.

'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (5) Humbers, house 320 yards N.N.E. of the church, has a stone panel with the date 1592. Inside the building is part of a panelled oak partition or screen, and one fireplace has a reused moulded oak lintel of late medieval date.'
