<1> Royal Commission on Historical Monuments England, 1952, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume I (West), 93 (Monograph). SDO97.
'The following monuments, unless otherwise described, are of the 17th century and of two storeys; the walls are of rubble and the roofs are thatched or covered with modern materials. Some of the buildings have exposed ceiling-beams and original fireplaces. … (11) House, on the S. side of a lane 480 yards S. of the church, was built in the 16th century and later extended or rebuilt at each end. A stone panel on the S. front bears the date 1708. Some stone-mullioned windows with labels remain on the ground-floor. Inside the building, the middle room has original moulded ceiling-beams forming eight panels.'
