Full Description

Mediaeval. This small bridge has no name but immediately adjoins the monastic mill. 2 round headed arches in stone rubble with a grotesque corbel head. Parapet now replaced in stone.

This description is derived from the associated designation record, the validity of which has not been checked.

Hodges suggests that the arches of this bridge may be Saxon in origin (1). However, there is currently no known evidence to support this supposition.
