Full Description

(ST 47840101) Romano-British and Iron Age pottery found on 15th March 1956, also an early striated glass, probably Romano-British. <1>

J. Stevens Cox has found Romano-British coarse ware sherds, including some of Durotrigian type, in the field at ST 478010, opposite Beaminster Mill, west of the north end of the Nursery plantation. <2>

’Mr. Stevens Cox has also found Romano-British coarse ware sherds, including some of Durotrigian type, a short distance upstream opposite Beaminster Mill in the field W. of the N. end of The Nursery (478010).’
