Listed Building record MDO17874 - Lytchett Minster United Reformed Church, Dorchester Road, Lytchett Minster

The first chapel built on this site was built in 1824 for Independents and Baptists on the union of their two congregations at Organford and A schoolroom was added in 1851. The present building appears to date from the late 19th century. Red brick walls with light brick dressings. Gabled slate roof with crested ridge. Simple rectangular plan, at right angles to road. Side walls buttressed. Round-arched windows with double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Entrance front has porch with coped gable and stone finial.

'(2) Independent and Baptist Chapel (957927), dated 1824, has brick walls and a slated roof; the S. front is in polychrome brickwork. The chapel was altered in the mid 19th century.'
