Full Description

A Roman coin was found by V. Adams in 1957 at allotments near Poundbury, Dorchester. Farrar number 10 (1958) described as a copper alloy coin of Constantius II as Caesar, 17mm in diam. Obverse: FL IUL [CON]STANTIUS NOB C, laur. Bust ciur. R; Reverse: [GLO]RIA EXERCITUS, 2 standards between 2 soldiers; Mint: illegible.
