Romano-British pottery was discovered in 1952 in rabbit scrapes in the south-west corner of the field on the north side of a spot height 754 on Mintern's Hill, Beaminster Down, ST 487035. (2)

A note by our late Curator, Colonel Drew, on the O.S. 6-inch map sheet XX S.E. in the museum, records the discovery of Romano-British pottery in 1952 in rabbit-scrapes in the S.W. corner of the field on the north side of spot height 754 on Mintern’s Hill, Beaminster Down at ST 487 035. [1]
