Full Description
Lynchets up to a maximum height of 1.0m: ill-defined and poorly preserved. Area outlined on 1:10560 Record Sheet. <4>
The strip lynchets described in <1> are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s on Moigns Down, Owermoigne. The lynchets are formed of curvilinear banks and ditches visible over an area measuring approximately 240 m by 230 m, following the contour lines. <2-3> These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
