Full Description
A cairn. Diameter 21 paces, height 4 ft. <2>
A bowl barrow, partially grass covered with a large number of flints exposed and with a flat top.
Diameter 20.0 metres, height 1.2 metres. Ditchless. <3>
(SY 73679832) Bowl barrow, 65 ft. diameter and 4ft. high, on top of hill within Dole's Hill Plantation. <4>
SY 737984. Two round barrows in Doles Hill Plantation. Scheduled. <5>
SY 73689832. A grass-covered bowl barrow, not ploughed over. Diameter 18.0 metres,height 1.2 metres maximum. No visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <6>
The site of a Bronze Age round barrow is marked on the OS first edition map within Dole's Hill Plantation, Piddlehinton. It is visible as an extant earthwork on lidar imagery <8> and was digitally recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM project.
