Full Description
A silver penny of Aethelbert (861-66), minted at Canterbury by Aethelhere, was reported as a casual find from St.George's Vicarage, Fordington. It was identified by the Department of Coins and Medals, British Museum at some time prior to June 1984. (1)

A casual find from St George's Vicarage, Fordington (SY 69819059 approx.), of an Anglo-Saxon silver penny, can now be reported. It has been identified by the Department of Coins and Medals, British Museum, as a penny of Aethelhere.
