Full Description
Site of original incline branch before Verne Fort was built; replaced by incline into Waycroft Quarries. 1861 plan shows upper branches of Portland Railway including incline and East Drum, and Cottage & Stable, removed in 1866 for fort. (1) A published photograph of the 1850s shows the incline in use. (2-3)
