Lighthouse built 1905-6 by Trinity House to replace Higher and Lower Lighthouses. Tower is 136ft (41.4m) high. Keepers' accommodation redundant when automated in 1992 and now houses a visitor centre.(1-2) Lighthouse still working and compressors for fog horn survive. Depicted in numerous published historic photographs of Portland Bill.
