Monument record MDO1996 - Iron Age or Roman field system, Piddletrenthide

The remains of an Iron Age or Romano British field system are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographa and lidar imagery in fields to the east of The Brick House, Piddletrenthide. The features cover an area of 37 hectares and were recorded during the Upper Cerne and Piddle Valleys AIM.

(Area centred at SY 71409920). A series of low field banks and lynchets practically ploughed out, and mainly under grass. The system appears to be of IA/RB type, and is distinctly visible on APs CPE/UK/1974/3367-8. <2>
