Full Description
A possible hengiform enclosure of Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age origin is visible as a small, circular ditch on aerial photographs. It is surrounded by a larger ring ditch (MDO3405), approximately 25m diameter. The enclosure is offset within this to the south-east. They may both be contemporary with one another or the result of seperate phases of construction of the monument, such as the re-use or adoption of a Neolithic monument in the Bronze Age. It forms part of a larger group of prehistoric burial/ritual monuments located across Pound Hill. {1-2}
