Monument record MDO21413 - Field system, Winterbourne Abbas

Fragments of a medieval field system visible as field boundaries, trackways and ridge and furrow on aerial photographs. Located within the area of the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852) but was not detected.

Fragments of a medieval field system visible as field boundaries, trackways and ridge and furrow on aerial photographs. They appear to overly the Iron Age/Roman field system described in MDO21521. {1-10}.

Located within the area of the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852) in field 44B but was not detected. This field was affected by the adjacent overhead cables and the ditch did not have a detectable magnetic presence, something that is common to much of this class of feature along the corridor.
