Full Description
A bowl barrow with a ditch. Diameter 37 paces, height 5 ft. <2>
A grass covered bowl barrrow. Diameter 37.0 metres height 1.8 metres surrounded by a ditch average 3.5 metres wide, 0.3 metres deep. The barrow is crossed by a north-south hedge to the west of which, the barrow has been considerably mutilated by a metalled track crossing it and by cattle, but its form is still plainly visible. <3>
SY 7453 9150. Bowl barrow, 120ft diameter and 6ft high with surrounding ditch 12ft wide and 1ft deep which is well defined on the north side. The mound which is composed of alluvium is crossed by a field boundary, west of this, the mound is lower and much disturbed, especially by a modern track. <4>
SY 7452 9149. Bowl barrow in pasture much spread and mutilated. Diameter 36.0m, height 1.3m. Only a 15m length of ditch, 0.3m deep, survives on the north side, west of the hedge which crosses the barrow. Re-surveyed on 1:2500 on M.S.D. <5>
Lies in the broad flat valley bottom of the River Frome. The mound which is composed of alluvium is crossed by a field boundary, and W. of this boundary it is lower and much disturbed, especially by a modern track. The surrounding ditch, 12ft. Wide and 1ft. Deep, is well defined on the N. side. 120ft. In diam and 6ft. High.
