Listed Building record MDO22035 - Corfe Castle Railway Station, Corfe Castle

Railway station, built in 1885 for the London and South Western Railway Company, in coursed and dressed rock-faced Purbeck stone with a plain clay tile roof, hipped and gabled, with crested ridge tiles and moulded bargeboards.

Railway station on the Swanage branch line, opened in 1885. Although closed to regional traffic in 1972, it remains open as part of a private line run by a preservation society. The station comprises the station master's house with cross-wing at the south end, booking hall at the centre and waiting rooms at the north end. Victorian Gothic style. <2>
