Full Description

Warmwell House, an irregular-shaped, two storeyed building of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar facing was built in the first half of the 17th century, probably by Sir John Trenchard who inherited the property in 1618. The south-east portion of the building may incorporate the remains of an earlier house -? late Medieval. Additions and alterations were made in the 18th and 19th centuries. <2>

Warmwell House (name confirmed) is as described by RCHM. A house of outstanding architectural merit. Two Perpendicular windows have been reset on the north-east side of the ground floor. Published 1:2500 detail, correct. <4>
