Full Description
Sand Pits shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1886. The features are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP (1-3). Several other small areas of quarrying not marked on the historic map were identified on the aerial photographs and were plotted; these may be sand or gravel pits.
