Full Description
A rectilinear bank and ditched enclosure is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the west of Gorwell Farm {1-3}. It is 110m across and overlain by an extant field boundary marked on the OS 1st edition map. The enclosure is of uncertain date and may be later Iron Age, Roman or medieval in origin. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
