Full Description
'(13) Lynchets, on the S. slope of Bonscombe Hill, 1,200 yards N.W. of the church, form four terraces, from 25 ft. to 40 ft. wide.' (1)
A series of east-west strip lynchets are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery on the north facing slope of Bonscombe Hill. They form part of a wider system of medieval strip lynchets are were digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP project (2-3).
