Full Description

A mound, 14.5m in diameter, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs {1} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. The date and function of this feature are uncertain; it is possible that it is the plough-levelled remains of a Bronze Age barrow. Alternatively it may relate to possible post medieval activity in this area, thought to be associated with the management and farming of rabbits.
