Summary

Bowl barrow, 30ft. diam. Has been ploughed out. Visible as a cropmark ring ditch on aerial photographs {1}. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.

Full Description

This barrow was 11 paces in diameter and half a foot in height. <2>

Round barrows on Ridgeway Hill: 'E' Bowl (66508660) 55 yds. E S E of 'D'. Diam. about 30 ft. Ploughed out. <4>

E No visible remains. All these barrows are in arable and have been ploughed. None has a visible ditch. Re-surveyed at 1:2500 on MSD. <5>

Visible as a cropmark ring ditch on aerial photographs <8>. The site was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
