Full Description
A group of three subsquare hollows partially or fully surrounded by outer banks are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs {1-2}. They are considered likely to be the site of post medieval extractive pits. These features were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project
Located within the area of the Winterbourne Abbas Corridor Geophysical Suvey in 2017 (EDO7852) but unclear if detected within field 57A despite the report (SDO18127) stating that this field produced some of the clearest data from the project.
