Full Description
A group of three pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs {1-3}. Two are shown on the 1880 OS map {4} as chalk pits and are considered likely to be of post medieval origin. The close proximity of the third pit suggests it is probably of a similar origin. They were digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project.
