Full Description
SY 63779560. Sherds representing substantial portions of two food vessels and at least the rim of a third, were found during the construction of the house known as Langford Gate, sometime before 1928. One has diagonal impressions, one is undecorated, the third has a single applied ridge on the body. Attributed to the Middle Bronze Age. There were also cremated bones and a piece of volite. Probably from a barrow burial, although one is not recorded. Finds are in Dorset County Museum (Acc No 1932.10.2). <1>
