Full Description
A mound, approximately 14.4m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs {1} and was digitally plotted during the South Dorset Ridgeway Mapping Project. The date and function of this feature are uncertain. It is adjacent to two mounds (MDO1394-5), marked as tumuli on the 1880 OS map {2}, suggesting it could be the remains of a Bronze Age barrow. Alternatively it could be spoil related to nearby extractive activity (MDO25541).
