Chalk Pit shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1886 (OS 1886).
The feature is visible as a kidney shaped ditched earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs and Environment Agency lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project (RAF 1947; EA 2018).
