Monument record MDO26056 - Bere Marsh Mill, Shillingstone

A corn mill shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1886. The mill is visible as a ruined structure on 1940s aerial photographs and was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project.

The mill is visible as a ruined structure on 1940s aerial photographs (RAF 1947). The eastern end of the building is extant as a roofless structure in 1947, the western part of the building is not visible. The feature was digitally plotted during the Mid Dorset Downs AIM project. The site is under tree cover on 2025 Google Earth imagery (GE 2025) and it is not possible to identify whether elements of the building survive below this.
