Summary

A Bronze Age burial mound. In 1952 this monument was reported as being around 75 feet in diameter with a mound about 5 feet high. The mound is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Marshwood Vale NMP.

Full Description

A bowl barrow 22 paces in diameter by 5ft high, with a central hollow. <2>

Bowl barrow 18.0 metres diameter by 2.0 metres high on the north, situated on high ground and covered by a heavy growth of bracken. No ditch could be seen. The large central hollow appears to be the result of excavation. <3>

(26) Bowl Barrow, on Eype Down, 150 yards S.W. of the W. part of (25), is about 75 ft. in diameter and 5 ft. high. It is covered with gorse.
